Community Garden

opened 2012

Opened on the site of the old village hall with the help of funds transferred from the Embo Community Company and a grant from the Landfill Fund which together paid for the railings, seating and flower pots.

We've just (2014) added some raised bed planters and a baa-baa sandpit with the help of Munro Sawmill in Dingwall who invented WoodBlocX. They donated their labour and came over to build the beds for us!

We'll shortly be lifting turf and laying bark to give a child friendly surface which won't need mowing around the beds.

The Bank of Scotland Community Fund award has paid for the beds and will pay for the plants and fruit bushes to go in next.

We need to know now how many budding junior gardeners we have in addition to those who thought of the project.
